Love Songs of Life features the song lyrics and music to more than 60 songs written by Americana songwriter Daniel S. Terry from 1968 to 2022. It includes his first solo song, "She is Gone," written when he was 12 after his mother died. The book is arranged by topics including travel, time, new love, longtime love, breakups, loss, music, and portraits of people and places.
Daniel S. Terry has been called “a creative quadruple threat: singer, songwriter, guitarist and author.” Since 2015, Terry has been composing and writing songs daily on his acoustic guitars – at home, on the road, in airports, hotels and historic towns. He travels with a Taylor GS Mini Koa wood guitar.
In 2021, Terry founded the West Michigan Songwriters Festival with Nashville songwriter and educator Steve Leslie to raise awareness of songwriting as an art form. Proceeds from the festival and Terry's books and albums are providing educational scholarships for children.

Daniel S. Terry is an American songwriter, composer and acoustic guitar player. Dan started writing guitar music when he was a tween in Kewanee, Ill. after his sister gave him a discarded guitar. He bought a tuning fork, a Beatles’ chord book and taught himself how to play. He first wrote songs with a friend. At 13, after his mother died, he wrote his first solo song.
